About Alissa
Alissa brings a deeply compassionate and grounding presence to her work, shaped by over 25 years of experience supporting individuals through grief, chronic illness, and end-of-life journeys. She works with adults navigating their own health conditions, caring for loved ones, or processing loss — whether anticipatory or after it occurs.
She understands that experiences like grief and caregiving don’t follow a clear path, and often come with questions like, “What is normal?” Her answer is simple: there is no one way to experience these moments. Alissa creates space for clients to move through these experiences in their own way, at their own pace, without judgment or expectation.
With a soft, mindful approach, she helps clients reconnect with themselves, build resilience, and recognize their own inner capacity to navigate life’s most difficult seasons.

Approach
Alissa believes therapy is a deeply personal process — one that is not one-size-fits-all, but instead centered around each individual’s needs, experiences, and goals.
She brings a mindful, somatic, and strength-based lens to her work, incorporating approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness-based practices. Her sessions often begin with a grounding exercise, helping clients transition into the space while also building a practical “toolbelt” of coping strategies they can carry into their daily lives.
Alissa works collaboratively with clients, supporting them in staying present moment-to-moment while gently reinforcing a core belief: that they are capable of responding to life’s challenges in ways that align with their well-being.
What to Expect
Sessions with Alissa begin with a mindfulness practice to help you settle in, feel grounded, and arrive fully. From there, the work unfolds in a way that is guided by your needs, your pace, and what feels most important to you.
She encourages clients to show up openly and with a willingness to engage in the process, knowing that meaningful growth comes from both reflection and commitment to the work. Together, you’ll explore your experiences, build coping tools, and create space for healing and greater well-being.
A Bit Outside the Office
Outside of her work, Alissa enjoys reading, cooking, walking, practicing yoga, and spending time outdoors with family and friends or playing games together. These practices reflect the same grounding, mindful energy she brings into her sessions.
