About Ally

Ally brings a warm, open, and down-to-earth presence to her work, creating a space where clients feel safe to show up exactly as they are. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she supports adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship and intimacy challenges, and major life transitions.

She has a deep passion for working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as young adults who are finding their way through periods of growth, change, and identity exploration. Ally believes that therapy is not just about working through challenges in session — it’s about building a life outside of therapy that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned.

Her approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and a sense of lightness. She values truly understanding her clients’ lived experiences and helping them develop meaningful tools to navigate everyday life with more clarity and confidence.

Training & Credentials

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

  • Master of Education (MS.Ed.), Clinical Mental Health Counseling, University of Dayton

  • Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Criminology), Otterbein University

  • Experience in private practice and community mental health settings

Approach

Ally believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, safety, and authenticity.

She works collaboratively with clients, using their strengths as a foundation for growth while helping them explore what change could look like and gently work through the fears that may stand in the way. Her style balances support with compassionate challenge, creating space for both reflection and forward movement.

Ally draws from a range of evidence-based and experiential approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Nature Therapy, and Adventure Therapy. She also encourages clients to engage in practices outside of session — such as movement, time in nature, and creative expression — to support lasting change.

What to Expect

Your first session with Ally is an opportunity to get to know one another and explore what brings you to therapy. Together, you’ll begin identifying your goals and ensure that the therapeutic relationship feels like the right fit moving forward.

Throughout your work together, you’ll have autonomy over what you share and the direction of your sessions. Ally creates a supportive environment where you can explore challenges at your own pace while building tools to navigate them with greater ease.

A Bit Outside the Office

Outside of her work, Ally enjoys spending time with her wife and pets, exploring nature, quilting, and cheering on the Cleveland Guardians. She brings that same curiosity and appreciation for connection into her work, seeing each day as an opportunity to learn, grow, and show up with kindness.

A Note from Ally

Nerves and uncertainty are completely normal when starting therapy and you don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin. Therapy is a space for growth, self-discovery, and learning new ways to move through life’s challenges.

All people are welcome in Ally’s space, exactly as they are.
