About Justin
Justin Kerr is a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of experience supporting adults through mental health challenges, complex trauma, and life experiences that can affect how we think, feel, and relate to the world around us. He works with individuals navigating developmental trauma, exploring emotional and cognitive patterns, and considering how medication may play a role in their treatment.
Justin approaches his work with curiosity, compassion, and openness. He believes that trust is at the heart of a meaningful therapeutic relationship and creates space for clients to feel heard, ask questions, and better understand themselves.

Approach
Justin believes therapy begins with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to explore whatever may arise. He takes time to understand each person's emotional experiences, identify patterns, and connect what is happening today with the experiences that may have shaped them.
He also recognizes that growth sometimes involves being challenged, while understanding that there is a difference between productive discomfort and feeling overwhelmed. Justin helps clients recognize when they are moving beyond their window of tolerance and explore ways to return to a more grounded state.
What to Expect
Justin asks questions and encourages clients to do the same. He wants people to feel comfortable being curious about their treatment, understanding their options, and asking questions along the way.
Sessions offer space to listen, reflect, and explore at a pace that feels manageable. Building trust is an important part of the process, and Justin values creating a relationship where clients feel safe enough to share their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
A Bit Outside the Office
Justin appreciates the role that everyday habits and meaningful connections can play in supporting mental health. He enjoys meditation, physical activity, spending time in nature, connecting with his community, and journaling. He also values the importance of sleep and making time for the practices that help him feel grounded.
A Note from Justin
“I think it is understandable to be nervous. I honor that nervousness and wonder if it would be okay to learn more about what's going on.”
Starting therapy can bring up a lot of feelings, and you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Justin welcomes the opportunity to get curious together and understand what support might look like for you.
