About Kelley

Kelley joins Enliven after completing her clinical training at The Ohio State University Counseling and Consultation Services. She brings a calm, grounded presence and an open, approachable style that helps clients feel safe, supported, and understood in the therapeutic space.

She works primarily with college-age and adult populations, supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, identity challenges, trauma, grief, and significant life stressors. Kelley believes each client is the expert of their own life, and she partners with them to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns while identifying meaningful pathways toward change.

Before becoming a clinical social worker, Kelley spent years as a college and youth basketball coach, educator, and administrator, along with experience in business and crisis communications. This diverse background informs her ability to connect with clients across a wide range of life experiences, including performance pressure, transitions, and identity development.

Approach

Kelley’s approach is strengths-based and collaborative, grounded in the belief that clients already hold the capacity for growth and change within themselves.

She integrates psychoanalytic insight with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Her work focuses on helping clients better understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing practical strategies to navigate challenges.

Kelley emphasizes collaboration and curiosity, working alongside clients to explore patterns, build self-awareness, and develop tools that support both emotional resilience and personal growth.

What to Expect

Kelley begins therapy by helping clients identify current challenges, understand what is bringing them into therapy, and clarify the goals they want to work toward. Early sessions focus on building trust, comfort, and a strong therapeutic relationship.

From there, therapy becomes a collaborative process of exploration and skill-building, where clients can better understand themselves and begin applying new strategies to everyday life.

A Bit Outside the Office

Outside of her work, Kelley enjoys spending time with family and friends, live music, sports, time with her dogs, and being near the ocean. She especially enjoys the energy of basketball and the excitement of the final minutes of a close game.

A Note from Kelley

Kelley believes therapy works best when it feels like a collaborative and supportive partnership. She sees her role as helping clients gain clarity, identify strengths, and explore strategies that move them toward their goals.

She encourages clients to approach therapy with openness and curiosity, reminding them that they don’t have to have everything figured out to begin; they just need to be willing to take the first step.
