About Latoya
Dr. Latoya Davis brings a warm, supportive, and empowering presence to her work with adolescents (16+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. She is especially passionate about working with individuals who often find themselves overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or feeling disconnected from their sense of self.
Her work is centered on helping clients reconnect with their voice, confidence, and purpose, particularly those who have spent much of their lives caring for others and are now seeking space to focus on themselves. She supports clients in understanding patterns, processing emotional experiences, and developing healthier ways of coping and communicating.
Dr. Davis creates a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported while also being encouraged to grow into a more empowered version of themselves.

Approach
Dr. Davis takes a warm, client-centered, and collaborative approach to therapy, focusing on both emotional processing and practical skill-building.
She works with clients to identify patterns, challenge unhelpful thinking, and develop healthier coping strategies that can be applied in everyday life. Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy, allowing for flexibility based on each client’s needs.
A strong emphasis is placed on empowerment, helping clients recognize what is within their control, practice acceptance where needed, and build tools for emotional regulation, communication, and resilience. Dr. Davis believes therapy is most effective when clients feel both supported and actively engaged in their own growth.
What to Expect
Your first session with Dr. Davis is a relaxed, supportive conversation focused on getting to know you. She takes time to understand your story, your experiences, and what brought you to therapy, while beginning to identify goals that feel meaningful and achievable for you.
There is no pressure to share everything at once. Instead, sessions move at your pace, with an emphasis on building trust, safety, and clarity around what you want to work toward in therapy.
Over time, you’ll work together to develop practical tools, process emotions, and build confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
A Bit Outside the Office
Outside of her work, Dr. Davis enjoys reading, traveling, and spending meaningful time with family. These moments help her stay grounded, balanced, and connected to what matters most.
A Note from Latoya
Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar and even intimidating and that’s completely normal.
Dr. Davis often compares it to going to a new gym: you may not know exactly what to do at first, but with consistency and support, you begin to build strength, confidence, and momentum over time. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin — you just need to be willing to take the first step, and she will meet you there and guide you through the process at your own pace.
