About Maxine
Maxine Sims is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than a decade of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions.

Approach
Maxine approaches therapy from a practical, solution-oriented perspective. She believes that while we cannot always change our circumstances, we can often change how we view and respond to them.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she helps clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop new perspectives, and build practical tools for navigating challenges more effectively. Her work emphasizes self-compassion, personal accountability, and focusing on individual progress rather than comparing oneself to others.
She believes growth happens through practice, openness, and learning to extend grace to yourself throughout the process.
What to Expect
Maxine strives to make therapy feel like a conversation with an old friend. Her sessions are relaxed, welcoming, and focused on creating a space where clients can release what they have been carrying and feel genuinely heard.
Clients can expect consistent support, encouragement, and accountability as they work toward the goals that matter most to them.
A Bit Outside the Office
Outside of work, Maxine enjoys spending time in nature, exercising, dancing, and traveling. She especially loves exploring destinations with beautiful beaches, clear water, and white sand.
A Note from Maxine
