About Momina
Momina Khatri is a Licensed Social Worker who works with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, neurodivergence, cultural and family dynamics, spiritual trauma, and major life transitions. She is especially passionate about supporting immigrants, BIPOC individuals, and clients working through generational trauma while balancing identity, culture, relationships, and personal healing.
Momina’s approach is compassionate, relational, and deeply client-centered. She believes that every person is the expert of their own life and deserves a therapeutic space rooted in kindness, autonomy, and emotional safety. Her goal is to help clients feel understood, validated, and empowered while building the tools necessary to move through challenges and create lasting healing.
She also works with postpartum individuals, clients navigating religious or purity culture experiences, and individuals seeking deeper understanding of the emotional patterns and wounds that continue to impact their present lives.

Approach
Momina takes an integrative, trauma-informed approach that combines relational connection with deeper emotional processing work. She integrates Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, and somatic approaches to help clients process painful memories, trauma, and emotional wounds held within the body and nervous system.
She also incorporates Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in navigating everyday stressors, emotional overwhelm, and practical life challenges.
Her work often focuses on helping clients slow down, recognize patterns, and understand the root causes behind anxiety, emotional pain, and relational struggles. She believes many present-day challenges are connected to past wounds that continue to shape how people move through the world — often outside of conscious awareness.
Momina strives to create a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, warmth, and mutual respect. She believes the connection between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of meaningful healing.
What to Expect
Momina describes early sessions as a space to simply begin getting to know one another. She asks thoughtful questions about clients’ lives, experiences, and goals while always allowing clients to share only what feels comfortable.
Her sessions move at the client’s pace and are designed to feel supportive, conversational, and emotionally safe. She welcomes curiosity and questions from clients and works collaboratively to identify goals, areas of healing, and approaches that feel aligned with each individual’s needs.
For clients who feel nervous about opening up, Momina emphasizes that therapy does not need to begin with sharing everything all at once. Sessions can begin wherever feels safest — even through conversations about everyday life, interests, books, movies, or music — until trust naturally develops over time.
A Bit Outside the Office
Outside of therapy, Momina enjoys songwriting, painting, reading, journaling, spending time in nature, and reconnecting with herself through mindfulness and creativity. She feels most grounded through connection with loved ones, quiet reflection, and practices that nurture emotional presence and self-awareness.
A Note from Momina
Momina understands how vulnerable it can feel to begin therapy and share personal experiences with someone new. She wants clients to know there is no pressure to move faster than they are ready for.
She believes every step toward healing — even simply considering therapy — takes courage. Her hope is to create a space where clients feel safe enough to show up exactly as they are, knowing their experiences will be met with compassion, understanding, and care.
