About Netsanet
Netsanet Chevers is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and complex emotional patterns. She brings a thoughtful, integrative, and highly individualized approach to therapy, supporting clients who are seeking deeper understanding of themselves and the patterns that shape their lives.
She often works with clients who feel stuck in survival mode — emotionally, mentally, or physically — and are looking for more than surface-level talk therapy. Many of her clients are open to exploring new ways of thinking, learning about how their mind and body work, and gently challenging long-standing patterns that no longer serve them.
Netsanet brings a unique perspective to her work, informed by both her engineering background and advanced clinical training, allowing her to blend structure, psychoeducation, and relational depth in a balanced way.

Approach
Netsanet’s approach is integrative, structured, and insight-driven, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and brief psychodynamic approaches.
She works collaboratively with clients to build emotional safety, increase insight, and identify the tools needed for meaningful and sustainable change. Depending on the client’s needs, she may incorporate psychoeducation, structured interventions, or EMDR to support deeper emotional processing and nervous system regulation.
Her style balances directness with openness, offering both guidance and space for clients to explore their own experiences at a manageable pace.
What to Expect
In early sessions, Netsanet begins with a structured intake process that includes informed consent, background exploration, and an open conversation about what brings you to therapy.
Clients are encouraged to share only what feels comfortable, with no pressure to disclose everything at once. Early therapy focuses on building rapport, clarifying goals, and developing a shared understanding of the work ahead.
From there, sessions become more focused on insight-building, emotional awareness, and developing personalized tools for change.
A Bit Outside the Office
Outside of her clinical work, Netsanet enjoys time in nature, yoga, walking, reading, and making ceramics. She also enjoys meaningful connections with family, friends, and her cat.
A Note from Netsanet
Netsanet understands that starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially when you’re not sure what to expect or where to begin.
She emphasizes that there is no “right way” to do therapy. The process is paced collaboratively, and her role is to support you in building understanding, clarity, and tools at a pace that feels safe and sustainable for you.
