About Zaneta

Zaneta Street is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with 3 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and groups through relational challenges, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and life transitions.

She works with adolescents, teens, adults, and families, with a strong focus on relational dynamics, family of origin patterns, and the development of a healthier relationship with self. Zaneta is especially passionate about supporting women, Black boys and men, and individuals navigating racial trauma, grief, and questions of meaning and purpose.

Her clinical work often centers on helping clients understand how early relational experiences shape present-day patterns, and how healing can occur through both self-reflection and safe, supportive connection with others.

Zaneta is open to working with older adults, although she notes limited prior experience in that area.

Approach

Zaneta’s approach is authentic, creative, eclectic, and intuitive. She believes therapy is a collaborative process in which both client and therapist grow through the relationship.

She integrates CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Expressive Arts, Play Therapy (including with adults), and mindfulness-based approaches. Her work emphasizes relational awareness, emotional insight, and the development of self-understanding through both reflection and experience.

Zaneta views herself as an observer, inviter, and gentle challenger, helping clients explore patterns while also encouraging movement toward meaningful change.

What to Expect

Clients working with Zaneta can expect a warm, creative, and relationally focused space. Early sessions are spent exploring your personal story, identifying goals, and building a sense of safety and connection.

She welcomes client questions and encourages open collaboration throughout the therapeutic process. Therapy with Zaneta may feel exploratory, reflective, and at times gently challenging as clients are invited to step beyond familiar comfort zones.

A Bit Outside the Office

Outside of her clinical work, Zaneta enjoys hot yoga, writing and art, spending time with loved ones, and connecting with nature.

A Note from Zaneta Street

“Therapy can definitely trigger experiences of discomfort and pain. However, I gently invite you to think about an experience where fear held you back, and to also reflect on a time that connecting with fear propelled you forward. Give therapy a try, at some point, you may arrive at feeling pleasantly or shockingly surprised!”
